Positive responses
The following major users and manufacturers, among others, also expressed strong interest in developing specific applications of the RKM technology, including:
Siemens AG in developing electronic controls for the RKM engine once such a project is under way and, in a longer term, a compact power source for portable computers and mobile phones
General Electric (through Eutop Corporation, its representative in Germany) in developing a power source for railroad locomotives
E.O.N. Energie and EnBW, Germany's largest utility companies, in developing large stationary steam-powered and oil-fueled generators of electricity
Discussions with selected major potential users and manufacturers
Daimler Chrysler admitted that it has adopted a corporate strategy of improving existing engine and fuel cells technologies but noted that they, too, may be interested in the RKM technology when it enters the market.
General Motors commented that the RKM technology is not yet in the development stage where they could seriously consider any acquisitions for application in motor building.
Volkswagen after a negative initial assessment of the RKM technology, later acknowledged its technical merits noting, however, that VW is not interested in the RKM at this time because of the company's “current market policies”.
Provenion Corp. (BMW's engine-building subsidiary) acknowledged the RKM's technical merits but refused to give it an endorsement for “business reasons”.
